Louis Die Zwiet was the nickname given by the people of Ghent to the French king , Louis XVIII during his visit to the city, fleeing the perils of the French revolution. Exploring the palace where he stayed, led me to capture the decadence and excess of the place, just like I would capture a night out with my friends. In this way, the 100 oysters that Louis XVIII ate at every feast comes incredibly close to a night of bingeing on nightlife luxuries. The fact that photographing this building was prohibited also forced me to work in the way that I would at concerts, capturing a fleeting moment.
